Suspect in custody after suspicious device found at New Mexico Walmart triggers shelter-in-place
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico -- A suspicious device was found Wednesday at an Albuquerque Walmart, prompting a shelter-in-place.
It was reported around 8:30 a.m. at the Walmart location near the Cottonwood Mall near Coors and Ellison, according to Albuquerque ABC affiliate KOAT.
Police said they found a vehicle with a suspicious device. It was not clear what prompted the device to be deemed suspicious.
The shelter-in-place was lifted just after 10:30 a.m. and one suspect was taken into custody.
