ABC-7 First Alert: Winds begin tomorrow, stronger by Monday

Good Saturday to you. After careful consideration, we are going to issue a First Alert for the windy week ahead. I'll talk about tomorrow quickly- we are expecting wind gusts to kick off tomorrow afternoon from the southwest at 20 mph. Tomorrow will be a breezy day, not so windy.

Monday through Thursday will be another story. With the exception of Tuesday (gusts forecasted to stay in the 20 mph range), the other days this week will be windy, with gusts anywhere from 35 to 45 mph. Wednesday will be the windiest day with those gusts at 45 mph. The direction of the winds will be out of the SW/WSW which means blowing dust could be a factor.

Temperatures will top out above average through Wednesday this week (in the high 60s low 70s), until a cold front moves in on Wednesday night, dropping temperatures back below the seasonal average of 64 degrees. Prepare for the winds, but enjoy the warm temps, and hopefully you can stay at home for one day of the winds on your President's Day.
