El Pasoans stock up on gas, 40 cents cheaper per gallon

EL PASO, Texas -- Circle K offered gas for 40 cents cheaper a gallon as a part of Circle K fuel day Thursday from 4-7, and El Pasoans showed up to stock up.

The gas discount brought out tons of people eager to put the high summer gas prices in the past.

"Over the summer I filled up it was about $90 and normally it takes about $40 dollars, so it's great," said Jesse Acevedo. " I'll take advantage. I'm like at half a tank right now but any little bit helps".

"I'm really excited, they should do it often. Once a month would be okay," said Eliana Davila, an El Pasoan who took advantage of the promotion.

Davila said she and her family were paying high prices for gas to fill up her generator at the start of summer.

"We were living off a generator and it was like $50 bucks every other day so, right now it's pretty good," said Davila.

Davila says she has three vehicles and plans to drive each of them back to fill up.

The promotion ended at 7:00 pm.
