Gov. Abbott says Texas National Guard soldiers blocked a surge of migrants at El Paso border
AUSTIN, Texas (KVIA) -- Texas National Guard soldiers prevented a surge of migrants Tuesday attempting to cross the border illegally into El Paso, according to Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
In a tweet posted just after noon, Gov. Abbott blames President Biden for "open border policies."
"Texas is protecting our state - and America - in his absence," said Gov. Abbott.
Abbott posted two pictures along with his tweet. They show dozens of people behind razor wire barriers and the border fence as U.S. Border Patrol Agents and Texas National Guard soldiers look on.
