Sunland Park man missing, questions about his whereabouts mounting almost a week into his disappearance

SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico (KVIA) -- New Mexico State Police are still searching for 26-year-old Abraham Alejos, who was reported missing on April 29th. Alejos' mother believes her son is now in Juarez.

ABC-7 reached out to the Sunland Park Fire Department, who said they were unable to provide any new information about Alejos.

ABC-7 has also reached out to New Mexico State Police for more information.

On Saturday, April 29th, a Brittany Alert was issued by NMSP after Alejos was reported missing. A Brittany Alert is issued when a person with developmental disabilities goes missing.

Sunland Park Police described Alejos as 5'4", approximately 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing maroon and white shorts, a blue and white striped shirt, and black sandals.

ABC-7 has reached out to Border Patrol officials about Alejos' whereabouts.
