UPDATE: EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The identity of the person who died on US-54, early Wednesday morning has been released.

47-year-old, Fernando Moreno was driving his 1987 Ford Ranger on US-54 southbound in the 6th lane at high speed, according to investigators.

Moreno then lost control, crossing all three lanes, went over the left cub and the gravel median. That's when the truck rolled over and he was ejected.

Moreno's body was found on the southbound left shoulder while his truck came on to the northbound left shoulder.

Witnesses were also interviewed by investigators confirming that he was traveling at a high speed.

The investigation ultimately came to the conclusion that speeding and the fact that Moreno was not wearing is what lead to the crash and unfortunately his death.

The crash impacted traffic for hours on US-54 south and northbound lanes.
