Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs arrest and indictment: A timeline of key events
NEW YORK (AP) — The arrest and indictment of Sean Diddy Combs come after 10 months of allegations of sexual misconduct and other abuse. It began in November when singer Cassie, his former protege and girlfriend, filed a lawsuit alleging years of abuse. Many similar lawsuits followed. In March, authorities raided his houses on both coasts and said he was under investigation for sex trafficking. In May, CNN aired video of Combs beating Cassie in a hotel in 2016. He apologized but he was asked to return a key to the city of New York and Howard University cut ties with him. Combs has pleaded not guilty and broadly denied the allegations.
