Accused Las Cruces child pornographer indicted on 12 felony counts
A Las Cruces man was indicted by a Dona Ana County grand jury Thursday on 12 felony counts of making and possessing child pornography
Raymond Pacheco is charged in the indictment with 11 counts of sexual exploitation of a child for manufacturing sexually explicit material, and one count of possession of such materials.
Pacheco remains jailed; he’s been held without bond since his arrest erlier this month following a police search of his residence at the Las Brisas Mobile Home Park.
During that search, authorities said they found “numerous sexually explicit images of children” on cell phones and computer tablets belonging to Pacheco. Investigators had also expressed concern that some of the images of underage girls they found were “believed to have been photographed locally.”
Residents of the trailer park where Pacheco lived had expressed shock at their neighbor’s arrest, calling it very disturbing given that numerous children live in the complex.
