26-year-old man hospitalized, ‘expected to survive’ after shooting in south-central El Paso
EL PASO, Texas -- A man was shot and wounded in south-central El Paso on Tuesday night, police said.
The shooting happened along the 4500 block of Blanco around 6 p.m.
Detectives on Wednesday identified the shooting victim as 26–year-old Marcos Aguilar and said he suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Aguilar was being treated at a local hospital and police said he was "expected to survive."
Police have not said what led up to the shooting but indicated on Wednesday that they continued to look for the shooter, who was not in custody.
