El Paso police identify man who died in eastside bar shooting

Update: Police just identified the victim who died as 37-year-old Mario Daniel Avalos. Police also list 28-year-old Ariel De Asha Brown, 28-year-old Rashad Dantron Allen, and 20-year-old Giuliani Martin as victims, although they did not provide details on the extent of their injuries.

Police say the shooting happened at Rock City Bar & Grill.

"The El Paso Police Department is actively investigating this incident and urges anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation," a spokesperson stated Monday. "The El Paso Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all community members. EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- One person has died and two others are seriously injured after being shot in East El Paso early Saturday morning.

El Paso Police officials said it happened at 2285 Trawood Drive. The first calls of the shooting came in at 2:17 a.m.

Police said when they arrived they found a large crowd of people outside of a bar.

Three men were taken to the hospital, but one of them died.

Additionally, EPPD said one woman took herself to the hospital, but police its unknown if she was involved in the shooting.

No information has yet been released about the victims, or any possible suspects.

El Paso Police are asking anyone with information to reach out to authorities.
