25-year-old woman arrested in deadly hit-and-run in East El Paso

Update: Police have charged 25-year-old Leslie Lopez with collision involving death after they say she hit and killed 21-year-old Kimberly Alissa Espinoza.
Police accuse Lopez of taking off without helping Espinoza. Police say that Espinoza was trying to cross the street at a non-designated crossing area when she was struck. When officers arrived on scene, police officials say she was laying on the sidewalk receiving first aid.
Police say a witness followed Espinoza's car and she was tracked down to the 900 block of Duskin where she was taken into custody.
Espinoza died at the hospital, according to police officials.
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A woman sufferered "life-threatening" injuries Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle in east El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.
The collision occurred at 1515 Lee Trevino Drive.
El Paso Police says Special Traffic Investigators have been called out to the scene.
