Police asking for Far East El Paso shooting witnesses to come forward

Update (September 26, 2024): The El Paso Police Department is asking anyone with information on the shooting to come forward.

"We urge anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has any information—no matter how small to come forward," an EPPD spokesperson said Thursday. "Your insights could be vital in helping law enforcement with the investigation and any assistance from the community is appreciated."

Police say witnesses can call the Crimes Against Persons Unit at 915-212-4040 or Crimes Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477 to remain anonymous.


EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police officers are looking into a shooting reported in the area of the 2000 block of North Zaragoza and Loop 375 North.

The call came in at 4:37 PM today. Police say that Loop 375 to Zaragoza is currently shut down as the shooting investigation continues.

Police say they cannot provide any other details at this time. ABC-7 has a crew going to the scene.
