Man taken into custody after SWAT standoff in Northeast El Paso
Update (11:28 PM): Officers took one adult male into custody, officials say.
Update (6:00 PM): A spokesperson for the U.S. Marshals Service says the barricaded subject was wanted by the Las Cruces office. That information for a warrant was shared with the El Paso office. Marshals in El Paso located the subject at the apartment complex, where he barricaded himself.
Update (5:28 PM): A spokesperson says the El Paso Police Department is helping the US Marshals Office in this standoff.
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Police Department SWAT team is surrounding a house in Northeast El Paso right now.
EPPD officials say a barricaded subject prompted the SWAT team callout.
The house is located at the 3300 block of Sheppard Avenue.
No other information is currently available. ABC-7 has a crew going to the scene now.
