Motorcyclist killed on the eastside identified

Update (2:10 PM): Police just identified the motorcyclist who died as Monderrio Turner, 31. Special Traffic Investigators say Turner was traveling west on Montana in a U-turn only lane. He did not negotiate the turn, hit the curb, and flew off the motorcycle. He died at the hospital, police say.

This is the 20th traffic fatality of the year, compared with 14 this time last year.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in East El Paso.

It happened along Montana Ave and Saul Kleinfeld Dr. around 11:45 p.m., Tuesday night.

According to El Paso Fire, one motorcycle was involved in the crash. One person was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

Special Traffic Investigators are currently on the scene.
