EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- CBP officials say officers caught a 20-year-old woman trying to smuggle 45.2 pounds of cocaine across the Bridge of the Americas Tuesday.

Officials say that officers stopped the woman's car for a secondary exam around 8 AM. A drug-sniffing dog then found the drugs in the car's rocker panels. The officers then removed 16 cocaine-filled bundles from the compartments.

CBP officers arrested the woman and turned her over to the El Paso County Sheriff’s office to face attempted smuggling charges. Officials have not publicly identified the woman.
