Man arrested in connection with fire at south-central El Paso home

EL PASO, Texas -- The El Paso Fire Department said 35-year-old Gabriel Adam Ramirez has been arrested in connection with a fire that happened Sunday at a home located on the 3100 block of Rivera.

Officials said the fire started around 4 a.m. Firefighters responded to the scene and were able to rescue one person who officials said was trapped inside the home.

Crews were able to contain the blaze and no injuries were reported. Officials said an investigation by the El Paso Fire Marshal's office is what led to Ramirez's arrest. He's charged with Arson of a Habitation, which is a first-degree felony with a $25,000 bond
