Borderland parents fuming over school pick up, drop off backlog
EL PASO, Texas -- As parents begin a new school year after Covid-19 kept students home, frustrations begin to mount at drop-off and pick-up locations.
Viewers have been messaging ABC-7 about how the traffic backs up, drivers are double- and triple-parked and at one campus - a fist fight even broke out.
In a recent survey on the "Neighbor" app, the Socorro Independent School District received an "F" grade by parents due to all the school traffic.
Homeowner Ana Cosgrove, who lives near Mitzi Bond Elementary School, told ABC-7 how frustrating it is to try and leave her house in the morning, and the difficulties she has just trying to get into her driveway when she comes home in the afternoon. It's all due to school traffic.
"This is ridiculous, it always happens around 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.," Cosgrove said.
