New rewarding financial education app for children and teens

KVIA

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- April is financial literacy month and FirstLight is celebrating by making financial education available to everyone.

The FirstLight Community Foundation has partnered with the mobile game app called Zogo. It has hundreds of games to help children and teens understand finances.

By taking interactive five-question quizzes, and participating in daily trivia games you can earn points that can be redeemed for gift cards to your favorite stores like Starbucks, Amazon, Target, and others. The more you learn, the more you get rewarded!

The 14th annual Parents, Kids, and Money survey in 2022 surveyed thousands of parents and, found 57 percent of parents are reluctant to discuss money with their kids.

The report also found that 3 out of 4 parents think financial apps are a good way to teach about financial decisions.
