El Paso police say man seen shooting gun out of moving car has turned himself in
EL PASO, Texas - El Paso police have confirmed that the man seen in a another social media video firing a weapon has turned himself in.
In a tweet posted online Monday night, EPPD wrote, "Subject did the right thing and turned himself in this afternoon. Currently being processed by officers of the Gang Unit. Additional information to be released when clear."
Police had confirmed Saturday that they were investigating another social media video of a person firing shots from a moving vehicle.
The video was sent to ABC-7 by a popular local Instagram account, Fit Fam El Paso.
It is not clear when this video was recorded or where the shooting happened.
"The involved individual(s) should secure weapons and can then, unarmed, request to speak to investigators at any police regional command," a spokesman for the El Paso police wrote in a text.
Last month, police arrested two brothers in for allegedly shooting out of another moving vehicle on an El Paso highway; those arrests stemmed from a video of the incident posted to social media.
