Borderland Closures: Follow for updates

Here's what's closed in the Borderland:

  • TXDOT: Transmountain back open Feb. 04.
  • El Paso County offices close Thursday, Feb. 3, Friday Feb. 4.
  • All Centro De Salud Familiar La Fe clinics and facilities will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 3.
  • The City of El Paso’s COVID-19 testing and vaccine sites will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3. All ten (10) City sites will resume regular hours on Friday, February 4. The Office of Emergency Management will also be opening two (2) rural testing sites on Friday, February 4 in Fabens and Vinton.
  • With the forecast expected to bring freezing temperatures, the City of El Paso is suspending normal operations at City Hall and all administrative offices on Thursday, Feb.3.
  • El Paso: All Municipal Court Offices will be closed. All cases scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 3, will receive notification by mail for a new court date.
  • El Paso Parks and Recreation Department: All recreation, community and senior centers will open normal hours. All City organized sporting events will be canceled.
  • The El Paso Museum of Art, and the El Paso Museum of History will open normal hours. The El Paso Museum of Archaeology will be open unless Transmountain Road is closed. All library branches and the El Paso Zoo will open at normal hours.
  • El Paso Environmental Services: Trash and recyclables will be collected as scheduled on Thursday, February 3 and Friday, February 4. If weather conditions contribute to hazardous roadway conditions, the Environmental Services Department may only collect gray bins. The public will be notified if the recycling collections are suspended. Winter conditions may delay collections. Residents are asked to leave their bins out on the curb until they have been emptied.
  • Sun Metro will run regular service on Thursday, Feb. 3. Sun Metro assengers may experience delays. Streetcar service will be suspended Thursday, Feb. 3. Streetcar services will resume 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4 and 5.
