MGN

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Many are enjoying the three-day weekend to plan trips, but it's important to honor those who served our country.

Monday at 9 a.m., the Department of Veterans Affairs Fort Bliss National Cemetery will host a Memorial Day wreath-laying ceremony, along with speeches, a moment of silence, and the playing of Taps, the national anthem, and a 21 cannon National Salute.

The ceremony is expected to last 1 hour.

The ceremony is free and open to the public.
