El Paso Chamber to host Black Leaders Forum
EL PASO, Texas - The El Paso Chamber is hosting a forum entitled "Attracting and Retaining Black Professionals". The forum will be held on Thursday, February 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hotel Indigo, 325 North Kansas in Downtown El Paso.
Panelists include LeWanda Johnson, Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting for Helen of Troy, Lawrence Davenport, Entrepreneur, The Berkeley Lounge, Dr. Ogechika Alozie, Chief Medical Officer, Del Sol Medical Center and Dr. Thompson Sarkodie-Gyan, Associate Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at UTEP.
The panel will focus on methods such as mentoring youth, transitioning military and recruiting professionals from outside of the El Paso region. A heavy emphasis will be placed on STEM career fields.
The forum is open to everyone. Tickets are $25, $10 for students and military.
