Deputies arrest man for animal cruelty in La Union

ANTHONY, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Dona Ana County Sheriff's deputies arrested a La Union man for animal cruelty.

Jail records show deputies took 64-year-old Enrique Ortiz into custody on the 900 block of Mercantil Avenue Sunday night.

Dona Ana County Detention Center records show that officials charged Ortiz with Cruelty to Animals and Negligent use of a Deadly Weapon.
