Statewide Amber Alert issued for 14-year-old Texas girl missing nearly a month

HONDO, Texas — A statewide Amber Alert was issued Wednesday for 14-year-old girl from Hondo whom police believed was in "immediate danger" after going missing nearly a month ago.

Eva Marie Garcia was last seen at her family's home during the early morning hours of Oct. 16. Her family told police they have not had any communication with her since her disappearance.

Garcia is described as 5'2" weighing around 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black and white shirt and either black shoes or pink sandals.

No further details were provided by authorities.

Anyone with information on this missing girl was asked by the Texas Department of Public Safety to contact Hondo police at (830) 426-5353.
