14-year-old-old hospitalized after confrontations turn violent in northeast El Paso
UPDATE (2/22): El Paso police say a 14-year-old boy had an argument inside a northeast El Paso pizza restaurant moments before he was punched, kicked and stabbed outside the restaurant.
Police say the teenager walked outside the restaurant when he was approached by several males in the parking lot and assaulted. It happened Saturday at the Peter Piper Pizza parking lot on the 9400 block of Dyer.
Police say the men drove off, firing a shotgun round, causing people to run back into the restaurant. There were no reported injuries from the shotgun round.
The El Paso Police Department Gang unit is investigating the case.
EL PASO, Texas -- A 14-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with life-threatening stab wounds, according to the El Paso fire department.
A fire official said the boy arrived at the northeast campus of University Medical Center a little before 8 p.m. with two stab wounds to his buttock. The boy was then taken to UMC's main campus.
There is no information regarding how the boy was injured or if he was accompanied by anyone.
