Two charged with terroristic threat in connection to Bel Air lockdown

EL PASO, Texas – Two Bel Air students were charged with making a terroristic threat that sent Bel Air into lockdown.
Police arrested 17-year-old Jose Luis Gamez and a 16-year-old boy on Tuesday, May 31.
Police say around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, witnesses reported seeing two males driving by Bel Air High School while displaying a rifle outside the window.
Gang Unit officers patrolling the area stopped the pair. According to investigators, the 'rifle' turned out to be an airsoft BB pellet gun.
Gamez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $10,000 bond, the 16-year-old was turned over to the custody of the Juvenile Probation Department.
