UPDATE: Sheriff's office: 3 people killed, 1 critically injured in shooting at Maryland business; trooper and suspect injured

SMITHSBURG, Maryland -- Multiple victims have been reported following a shooting at a company in Smithsburg, Maryland.

Authorities say there is no longer a threat to the public.

Smithsburg is about 70 miles northwest of Washington, D.C.
