WATCH: Man shot, another taken into custody, in organized crime investigation, say officials

UPATE: 7:20 p.m. -- The Department of Homeland Security said one suspect was shot and another, who fled the scene, is now in custody. 

Officials with HSI said the shooting occurred between a suspect and an officer during an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement investigation.

The officer shot the suspect on the 1900 block of Zaragoza. Now, HSI and the FBI are investigating the incident. 

No other details have been released. Count on ABC-7 as we learn more details.

UPDATE: 5:55 p.m.: FBI is on the scene. Roads in the area are closed. The Sheriff's Office is also on the scene.

UPDATE: 4:54 p.m. -- According to an ABC-7 source, the victim is a male who was being chased when he was shot. CPR is being administered.

EL PASO, Texas -- According to witnesses at the scene, a constable shot someone Wednesday around 4:12 p.m.

It happened at 2036 Zaragoza in far east El Paso.

There are reports the injuries are life-threatening.
