Organ Mountain High School lockdown

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Students and staff at Organ Mountain High School sheltered in place today after a threat was called in to the school.

It happened just after 1 p.m. The threat was deemed not credible by law enforcement authorities, according to the Las Cruces Public School spokeswoman.

Parents received a message advising them shelter in place protocols were issued as an extra precaution to keep students and staff safe.

Those students returning to campus from lunch were sent home.

The district emphasizes the threat was not credible.
