Man arrested for stabbing woman in Canutillo, leaving her with life-threating injuries
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A man was arrested this week for stabbing a woman in Canutillo last month, leaving her with life-threatening injuries, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
The stabbing allegedly happened on September 22 around 11:00 p.m.
Deputies said they found the victim on the pavement with blood covering her neck and upper back. She was taken to a local hospital. Officials have not said what her current condition is.
Through an investigation led by the Major Crimes Unit, detectives identified 27-year-old Rogelio Jose Jacquez as the suspect.
Jacquez was taken into custody, during which officials with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said he became uncooperative and combative towards deputies.
Jacquez was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly and Resisting Arrest with a total bond of $252,500, according to officials.
