EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- An El Paso County deputy took a 14-year-old student with a weapon into custody at IDEA Horizon Vista Tuesday, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday.

According to a press release, the deputy was working an off-duty assignment at the campus when school administrators reported the student with a weapon. The student was sent to the Juvenile Probation Department, EPCSO said.

All students are safe and there is no danger to the campus, according to EPCSO. No other information is available due to the student's age.
