City crews address storm-related conditions

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - The El Paso Fire Department responded to more than 60 calls from El Pasoans reporting storm related damage.

A spokeswoman for the city said that 66 calls were received on Tuesday with almost two dozen on Wednesday, after storms flooded area streets bring debris and other damage.

The majority of the calls on Tuesday were on the West side of El Paso and included vehicles caught in floodwater, residential flooding and roadway hazards and debris.

Wednesday's calls were mainly in the lower valley and east side of El Paso.

The city reminds residents to reports potholes, mud, debris, and other roadway concerns within the city to 311.

Any damage to drainage or storm water concerns should be reported to El Paso Water at 915-594-5500, option 6. The line is staffed from 7 a.m. to midnight. Any after hours reports need to be done through El Paso Water's online form.

This morning crews were working along Resler between Orizaba and Redd filling in pot holes caused by the heavy rains. Crew will continue to address those storm-related conditions.

The Office of Emergency Management is monitoring weather conditions and will coordinate resources as they are necessary.
