Police search for gunman who shot multiple people at St. Louis mall
RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Missouri — A large shopping mall near St. Louis was forced to close Wednesday after a shooting, but police said it was not considered an “active shooter incident.”
At least two people were injured in the shooting that happened around 12:30 p.m. at the St. Louis Galleria in the St. Louis County town of Richmond Heights.
Police released a security photo of a man described as a “person of interest” in the shooting.
Police did not disclose details about the conditions of the victims but KTVI-TV reported that one victim was shot in the head and one in the arm.
Police urged people to stay away from the area.
The mall is among the largest in the St. Louis region.
