WATCH: Year’s only total solar eclipse sweeps across Chile
SAAVEDRA, Chile -- On Monday, South America was treated to an astronomical phenomenon, able to witness one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights – a total solar eclipse.
According to NASA, this path, where the Moon completely covered the Sun and the Sun's tenuous atmosphere – the corona – could be seen from various regions of South America, stretched from Chile to Argentina.
It's the only one of 2020 and the last of the decade.
