Winning numbers for Mega Millions jackpot worth $515M

ATLANTA, Georgia -- The Mega Millions lottery jackpot is estimated to be worth a life-changing $515 million, which can also be paid out in a $346.3 million lump sum.

The winning numbers for Friday night's drawing were: 18-6-17-9-48, Mega Ball: 8.

It's the ninth-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history, according to the lottery game.

The largest Mega Millions jackpot was more than $1.537 billion, which one ticket holder in South Carolina won in October 2018.

Two Mega Millions jackpots have been won so far this year. A New York couple took the most recent jackpot, winning $96 million on Feb. 16. In January, a group of players in Michigan claimed a $1.05 billion Mega Millions jackpot, the second-largest Mega Millions payout and third-largest lottery payout in U.S. history.

The odds of winning the jackpot are very small, a mere one in 1 in 302,575,350.
