El Paso Locomotive set to return to pitch with small group practices
EL PASO, Texas -- Even though it's still unknown when the United Soccer League season will resume, the El Paso Locomotive are preparing to return to the pitch.
The league announced that clubs could begin holding small group practices.
However, there are certain rules clubs must follow.
In a news release Monday, the Locomotive announced the team is set to return to training through small group sessions of no more than four players.
The sessions will be held in accordance with local and state health guidelines, as well as the guidelines outlined by the USL.
The practices must also be non-contact, and members of the media will not be allowed to get video of practice or interviews with players.
The USL season has been suspended indefinitely because of the coronavirus pandemic, but the league says it remains committed to continuing the 2020 season.
