Ivan Escobar wins 6A Wrestling Title

The Montwood senior came is bringing home the top prize in the Texas 6A Wrestling 285-pound division after defeating Emmett Bivens of Allen by a 5-2 decision Saturday.

The win caps off an undefeated individual season for Escobar at 20-0.

Escobar's win should come as great news for New Mexico State football fans, as he signed to Doug Martin's 2021 football recruiting class on the defensive line.
