Who, where and when every high school football team in the Borderland is playing in the playoffs

EL PASO, Texas -- Regular season records are out the window and now it's all about winning the next game to keep the season alive because playoffs begin for Texas schools this week meanwhile New Mexico began their playoffs this past week.

There will be seven home games for Borderland teams starting this Thursday.

In El Paso, Pebble Hills and Eastwood will host games in 6A, Del Valle and Parkland will play at home in 5A Division 1 and Canutillo and Andress will be at home in Class 5A Division 2. All other 5A and 6A teams will play away, while all the 4A teams will play at neutral sights.

Meanwhile Centennial is the only New Mexico school that will host a game this week. Deming, Mayfield and Gadsden will all play away for their quarterfinal matchups.

Gadsden advanced to the quarterfinals Saturday after beating Los Alamos 44-21. It was the panthers first playoff win since 1966.

Below are where, when and who every team in the Borderland is playing in the playoffs this week.

Texas Class 6A, Division 1

  • Odessa Permian at Pebble Hills at 4 p.m. on Friday
  • Franklin at Midland Legacy at 7p.m. on Thursday

Texas Class 6A, Division 2

  • San Angelo Central at Eastwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday
  • Eastlake at Frenship at 5:30 p.m. on Friday

Texas Class 5A, Division 1

  • Abilene High at Del Valle at 6 p.m. on Thursday
  • Amarillo at Parkland at 6 p.m. on Friday
  • Bel Air at Lubbock Cooper at 6 p.m. on Friday
  • Ysleta at Amarillo Tascosa at 6 p.m. on Friday

Texas Class 5A, Division 2

  • Abilene Cooper at Andress at 4 p.m. on Thursday
  • Amarillo Palo Duro at Canutillo at 6 p.m. on Thursday
  • El Paso High at Abilene Wylie at 6 p.m. on Thursday
  • Chapin at Wichita Falls Rider at 6 p.m. on Friday

Texas Class 4A, Division 1

  • Riverside vs. Big Spring at 7 p.m. on Thursday in Fort Stockton
  • Austin vs. Andrews at 6 p.m. on Thursday in Alpine
  • Irvin vs. Brownwood at 7 p.m. on Thursday in Odessa
  • Bowie vs. Lubbock Estacado at 7 p.m. on Friday in Midland

Texas Class 4A, Division 2

  • Mountain View vs. Seminole at 6 p.m. on Thursday in Artesia, New Mexico

New Mexico Class 6A - Quarterfinals

  • Rio Rancho at Centennial at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Field of Dreams

New Mexico Class 5A - Quarterfinals

  • Gadsden at Roswell at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Roswell
  • Mayfield at Piedra Vista at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Farmington
  • Deming at Goddard at 6 p.m. on Friday in Roswell
