Franklin High School student allegedly burns female student’s eyes with chemical disinfectant while on campus, victim’s mother says

EL PASO, Texas- ABC-7 has learned that a female student at Franklin High School was reportedly attacked by a boy who's romantic advances were denied.

According to the victim's mother, the boy was infatuated with her daughter even though the mother said she made it obvious she was not interested.

The victim's mother said that after a particular incident on May 27th, the boy was mad because he could be in a work group with the victim.

The mother went on to say that after the class the boy found cleaning chemicals and went looking for the victim.

The victim's mother told ABC-7 that the boy found her daughter outside of her theatre arts class on campus and poured the disinfectant all over the teenager.

According to the vicim's mother she rushed her child to the hospital where the staff addressed the chemical burns to her eyes and mouth.

ABC-7 reached out to the El Paso School District for a comment and received this response, "An incident involving two students did occur on Tuesday at Franklin High School. School administrators acted quickly to provide aid. The school is handling disciplinary action in accordance to our policies and procedures. We can't comment any further because of privacy laws."
