Three women take fire while trying to help gunshot victim in Lower Valley; women not hit

EL PASO, Texas – Three women rendering aid to a gunshot victim in the Lower Valley were shot at by passengers in a moving car, according to El Paso Police.

Gang Unit officers responded to the shooting call just before 10 p.m. Wednesday night on the 100 block of Edith.

Police say they found a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The women who were shot at were not identified by name, but their ages were 27, 29 and 45, according to police. Police say th women were not hit by the gunfire.
