Migrant Pursuit ends in Central El Paso

EL PASO, Texas -- Four migrants have been turned over to Border Patrol agents after an early morning pursuit Wednesday, according to Texas Department of Public Safety officials.

Officials say the pursuit began at Loop 375 and Executive Center Blvd. and ended at on Noble St. in Central El Paso.

Five migrants fled the vehicle on foot. Four out of the five migrants were located and turned over to Border Patrol.

There has been a significant increase in pursuits usually involving migrants.

Staff Sergeant Eliot Torres said he does expect to see more pursuits as the summer approaches.
