5 hurt, 1 seriously after rollover crash in east El Paso
EL PASO, Texas -- Five people have been transported to the hospital with injuries after a rollover crash in East El Paso, fire dispatchers said.
That includes one person with life-threatening injuries. The other four people suffered what were described as minor injuries.
According to a Fire Department spokesman, a driver lost control of their car, drove off the road and through a fence at Loop 375 North and Iron Medics near Fort Bliss. The crash happened around 6:40 p.m.
The El Paso Police Department's Special Traffic Investigation unit is on the scene.
Also at the scene of the crash, another car hit a pole and some of the debris injured a firefighter. The firefighter was treated at the scene for what were described as minor injuries and then transported to the hospital as a precaution.
