ABC-7 First Alert: Storm chances ramp up Father’s Day evening

Hello everyone and good evening to you. Today has been hot, and we've seen some storms popping up to our west and north. I think most of us will be dry for the rest of the evening, but a few storms could pop up so don't be surprised if they do. This weekend will be warm, with highs in the upper 90s.

For the next several days, we are watching storm chances, and the likeliness of widespread rain and storms beginning Sunday night and lasting through Tuesday night.

Saturday, most of the storms will be off to our west, but Sunday, moisture will start to move into our region. That means Father's Day could be a bit rainy. I think most of the storms on Father's Day will move in that evening...but stick with us as timing of these storms will change over the next few days. But what won't change are the storms we will see on Monday and Tuesday too.

On those days, we will be tracking the possibilities of flooding, hail, winds and more. Don't worry...I'll be here to get you through these storms! The one good thing will be the slightly cooler temperatures we will see on the rainy days, with highs in the low 90s.
