ABC-7 First Alert continues – Heavy rain hit parts of El Paso’s west side Wednesday night. Flooding ensues. More storms are likely on Thursday.

An ABC-7 First Alert was in place when storms slammed the west side of El Paso this evening, dropping flooding rains between West Towne Marketplace working our way south to Coronado High School. Many areas picked up a quick 1 - 2" of rain. Lighter rain spread to parts of the east side. Storms will weaken the rest of tonight.

Some storms are possible again on Thursday and Friday with some pockets of heavy rain. We should see the weather dry out for the weekend. Temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 80s. It looks to be drier for Sunday and next week, along with hotter temperatures.
