An ABC-7 First Alert remains in effect for strong winds Tuesday and widely spread scattered showers this week.

The winds started picking up overnight, primarily in east and northeast El Paso. Wind gusts will exceed around 45 mph today. A Wind Advisory will remain in place until 5 pm. If today is your day for trash-pick be sure and watch the trash bins or they will get blown away. Secure holiday decorations as well!

Rain chances will increase Wednesday, Thanksgiving and Black Friday. If you will are participating in the Turkey Trot or watching the Sun Bowl Parade be sure and wear a poncho and a few extra layers, it will be chilly. We could accumulate about a .50" of rain by Friday - some areas will pick up close to 1" over the 3 days. The weekend looks better with cooler temperatures and sunny skies.
