Early Voting begins for 2022 November 8 election

EL PASO, Texas -- Early voting for the 2022 November 8 election in Texas starts Monday and will continue through November 4.

Voters are reminded that 6,000 corrected ballots were sent out earlier this month due to an error found on the ballots initially sent out. El Paso County Elections Administrator Lisa Wise told ABC-7 voters can send in a corrected ballot even if they already sent one in, and if they decide not to, their initial ballot will still count. Only one ballot will count per voter. If you received a ballot by mail, check to ensure you have the corrected ballot.

Additionally, former candidate for El Paso City Council District 1 Freddy Klayel-Avalos dropped out from the race but remains on the ballot. City representative Laura Cruz-Acosta said, "Any votes cast in his name will still count as a vote for him."
