Fort Bliss soldier accused of violently attacking 2 young sons, running naked in neighborhood after getting high on LSD
EL PASO, Texas -- U.S. Army officials on Wednesday confirmed that an El Paso father accused of violently attacking and seriously injuring his two young boys and then running naked outside his home after getting high on LSD, is an active duty soldier at Fort Bliss.
That word came one day after police said 26-year-old Zakary Frampton was being held in the El Paso County Detention Facility on $550,000 bond on two counts of causing injury to a child.
He was arrested several days ago at his home in the 4900 block of Marcella Santillana Street, where investigators said Frampton had consumed lysergic acid diethylamide - commonly known as LSD.
After allegedly getting high, Frampton is accused of punching his 7-year-old son in the face repeatedly and throwing him against a kitchen island. Police said he also struck his 3-year-old son and threw him from one room to another.
A neighbor of Frampton's described it as a chaotic scene that night, and told ABC-7 that residents "caught him on their surveillance cameras running up and down the street naked."
Both children were initially hospitalized for treatment following the attacks; the 3-year-old suffered head injuries, while the 7-year-old had substantial injuries to his face and body and remained in the hospital on Tuesday.
