Early morning shooting adds to history of violence near the Cincinnati Entertainment District
EL PASO (KVIA) -- A shooting left one man dead early Friday morning. The shooting happened near Cincinnati Avenue, an area that includes a handful of popular bars and restaurants.
ABC-7 was first alerted to shots fired just before 4 a.m. Friday morning.
The area has a history of violence, adding to growing concern from residents in the Kern Place neighborhood.
ABC-7 has reached to District 8 Representative Chris Canales, whose district includes Cincinnati Avenue and the surrounding neighborhoods. ABC-7 has also reached out to the Texas Alcohol Beverage Commission regarding guidelines and safety. Watch ABC-7 tonight to hear their answers.
