Man Shot Allegedly Breaking Into Canutillo Woman’s Home

CANUTILLO, Tx. – A woman hears someone breaking into her home, calls her father, who promptly shoots the alleged intruder.

The El Paso Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the shooting that happened along the 800 block of Anthony Street in Canutillo early Saturday morning. Investigators say a woman called her dad when she heard someone breaking into her house.

According to Deputies, the woman’s father showed up moments later, armed with a gun. The father says he fired a warning shot into the air, but the suspect charged at him. So he shot the man in the chest.

Sheriff’s Officials have not released any further information regarding shooting, or the condition of the man that was shot.
