Tom Scott

Tom is a native of Bar-le-Duc, France. Half of his family lives in this beautiful north-central portion of the country.

For over 30 years Tom has enjoyed covering the news of the El Paso/Las Cruces region with the last 21 at KVIA.

His experience includes anchoring news and sports, photography, editing and now a wider range of news gathering as New Mexico News Operations Manager.

Tom has lived in Las Cruces since 1973 Both he and his wife Donna are proud graduates of New Mexico State University. Their daughter Caitlin is an outstanding student at Mayfield High School.

When Tom is not covering the news, he enjoys an active lifestyle which includes officiating soccer.

He is currently a State Referee Emeritus with 30 years experience in “the beautiful game”. Tom is a veteran marathon runner and road cyclist and with the help of a great friend is showing signs of becoming a good mountain hiker.

Tom is very proud of being a part of the KVIA/ABC-7 family and looks forward to many more years of exciting news he can help bring to our viewers.
